"Our hope is not hung upon such an untwisted thread as, 'I imagine so,' or 'It is likely.'...Our salvation is fastened with God's own hand, and with Christ's own strength, to the strong stake of God's unchangeable nature." - Samuel Rutherford
Yesterday I felt bullied. I was tempted to fight for myself, to raise the walls of defense I am so familiar with to protect my heart. As I geared up for battle, a gentle whisper reminded me I don't have to fight for myself and I don't have to fight alone. I have a protector. I have a defender. He keeps the score. He knows what is right and just and I don't have to raise my walls of defense. I can simply come under His wings of protection as He fights for me. So I nestled in, imperfectly, but securely, and I am safe.
Are you being bullied today? Do you know you have a Protector? Call His name! He will answer you. He will defend you. You are His precious treasure and He delights in protecting you.
Nestle in. Can you feel His wings around you? Rest now, you are safe.
