Early this morning as I walked through the crisp fall air, I asked God to show me He was there. I thanked Him for the beautiful fall leaves surrounding me, their colors vibrant in the dawn's light.
It was as I was thanking Him that He whispered to my heart, "see, I can bring beauty even as something is dying." We serve a God capable of beauty even in death.
Death is not what I want, nor should I. Death is a result of the curse and one day we will be done with it as we dwell with God forever. Until that glorious day, I am comforted and filled with hope at His gentle reminder this morning. God can bring beauty from the ashes and it seems to bring Him great delight, just as the beautiful fall colors delighted me this morning.
